A Little About Our Friends – Hail & Farewell!
Welcome to Group 33

Group 33 is already on the loose.  They arrived back in September and weathered their first winter in the Ukraine and are probably quite happy that summer is finally here.

We hope you Group 33 people will become active in this organization and help us move forward.  As you Group 33 members develop your projects you may find that former Peace Corps Ukraine folks make really good allies.  We miss life in Ukraine and many of us are eager to help you in your work.  Friends of Ukraine is a good network to be part of.

Hang in there Group 34.

The newest training group is out of training now!  They are moving into their new communities, forging friends, really learning the language and figuring out the culture too.  Training is just a memory as the real tasks begin.  This is a wonderful and challenging time for them.

Welcome Group 34!  Please tap into our resources and learn from veterans.  We can offer friendly advice or just an “ear” for your venting.  We hope to see your posts in our Yahoo Group and, if you are a member of Friends of Ukraine, on our Ning.

And, of course you may already know it: training is the most challenging part of your Peace Corps experience and you survived!  (Insider hint – be around when the Group 30 people pack up to leave – you can inherit some really great stuff!)

RPCVs at Last – Group 29

This group COSed already and most of them are going through the mixed–blessing of returning to life in the USA .  Does it feel like a roller-coaster ride?  You bet!

Good luck to you all as you go about carving out your future.  Please stay in contact with us.  Join the National Peace Corps Association and Friends of Ukraine (an affiliate organization).  We offer good resources as you make this transition.  And you don’t want to miss any future reunions we may organize.

COSed in February & Heading Out Soon – Group 30

Ahead of you are sentimental farewells, outbreaks of nostalgia and a sense of euphoria too.  How can it all be over so soon?  Leaving in spring and early summer   makes it even harder.  Ukraine is at its best when the chestnut trees are in bloom…picnics and parties, the last bell…oh, how hard it is to leave it all behind.

Keep in touch with us.  Join the Friends of Ukraine (Visit the National Peace Corps Association Affiliate Groups listing and sign up.)  Post some updates on our Yahoo Group and Ning.  Can you believe you‘re an RPCV now?

Just What are YOU Guys Doing? - Group 31 & Group 32

Annoying folks want to know.  All of us who have been-there, done-that really want to hear what you are doing at your sites.  You are welcome to share stories for our newsletter or to pitch ideas on the Friends of Ukraine Yahoo Group and Ning.  And you know we offer grants for projects.
