Judy Mandel
was a PCV in Artemovsk, Ukraine (Donetsk region). She was in group 20 as a business facilitator working for the City Administration. She served as a consultant for any public organization that needs business assistance. She worked with the Veterans of the Afghanistan War. There are 600 in the city of Artemovsk with only a population of 90,000. She worked with the central library, the Dept of Archives, and one of the 3 orphanages in Artemovsk. As her COS date approached, she said that she would like to see the Friends of Ukraine become a strong and viable support group for PCVs. Judy is a retired banker and hopes to do another PC tour in another country.
